Steel Pipes Case Study

Dartford Park Scheme - Thames Water (Case Study)

Frazer and Tabberer’s pipeline division FT Pipelines has completed delivery of materials into Dartford Park near Littlebrook Power Station for Thames Water.

Customer:  Thames water
Contractor McAlpines / McNicholas
Site Location Dartford Park, Little Brook Power Station
Date: February 2006

The two smaller diameter pipe quantities (300mm and 450mm) were supplied direct from F&T stocks whilst the 600mm was new rolled for the scheme. Additional to the straight pipes were a number of fittings including bends and spool pieces with NP16 flanges and gaskets.

FT Pipelines spent time assessing the material requirements with Alfred McAlpine and sub-contractor McNicholas to establish the exact requirements.

F&T then brought the elements of the project together which involved nine supply companies from five countries, providing a single point of contact for the client.

F&T included site visits for Canusa training and QA documentation to back up the material supplied. The construction during January and February of 2006 was completed ahead of schedule.
