Hoddesdon Transfer Main - Thames Water (CASE STUDY)

Frazer & Tabberer were heavily involved alongside Farrans Construction on the following project.
Customer:  Thames Water
Contractor Murphys Pipelines & Subterra
Site Location Hoddesdon Transfer Main M25 NrJunction 25
Date: April 2001

Canusa sleeves were used on spigot and socket ductile iron joints Canusa was the easiest way of wrapping the joints, compared with time-consuming tape wrapping.

In addition, the installation of Canusa is virtually foolproof with almost no margin of error, and provides a heat bonded wrap that will not deteriorate or peel off.And with Canusa being the cheapest product, it was the obvious choice for the job.

A Thames Water Project Engineer said that they have used Canusa on many pipelines in the last few years because the men like using it, installation is quick and easy, it's not expensive, but provides the best quality protection available.
