Project: Savings to be made using FT’s Stop Tap Lids

Details: Anglian Water Services has introduced FT’s range of Locking Replacement Lids to all of their Network Technicians in a bid to cut back on expensive excavations and reinstatement caused by Section 81 defective Street Furniture. The introduction of the lids brought sweeping savings across the whole of the company.

Extensive street surveys were carried out to identify the type of surface boxes needed. The initial trial proved the simple installation of the lids and highlighted immediately the savings that could be made should the product be introduced across AWS. In less than 5 minutes two defective lids were replaced avoiding excavation, reinstatement and other associated costs as well as permanently fixing the jobs first time at the first visit.
